Here's another video. This one is about my guy helping my son get close to the edge of this cliff by the beach. My son has always been afraid of heights and James was just letting him know that he wouldn't let him fall. Cute moment captured.

Thinking of making a return!

I've been thinking about making a return to my blog. I will see how it goes. It has been almost a year since my last post. So here goes. My first attempt at blogging this year and it starts with a video. 

New Year

First of all Happy New Year to you all. I hope the coming year is full of great things for each of you. I have decided not to continue as a blogger cause lets face it I suck at it. lol In an attempt to simplify I have decided to just upload my videos to YouTube and posts on Facebook. So please if you haven't already, then like my Facebook page or subscribe to my YouTube channel to keep up on all my latest projects. Thank you all for being interested in little old me's crafting projects.

Steampunk Mini

Here is the most recent mini album I made. Had a shelf at work that I needed to put something on. I thought why not photos of the family. I used a lot of Tim Holtz product in this album. Lots of metal and had a blast. The whole album itself is grungeboard. I painted each page then cut the papers. Left it pretty unison on each page and didn't make pockets or pull outs. Thought it needed to be simple since it was going to be at work. Sorry not the greatest picture. My phone takes horrible photos and I forgot to take a pic before I took it to work.

 

Halloween Mason Jars

I have been loving all the crafts with mason jars lately. I painted these mason jars with Martha Stewart glass paint. Used two coats and it still didn't cover as well as I hoped. Then I baked it per the directions on her website. Once I was done with the painting I used my Happy Hauntings cartridge to create the black silhouettes. Last thing was putting the hemp rope around the tops of the jars, put a candle in and they were done. This was a time consuming project due to the waiting time for the paint between coats and the bake time. Not sure I would use this paint for jars again as I couldn't get my hand in them to make sure they were completely covered in paint. Hope you all have a Happy and Safe Halloween.

Explore Stonewall Video

Hello all. It has been to long. I have been busy scrapping just haven't taken the time to upload my projects. I have this layout video to share and then I will follow with a mini album that I recently created for work. These layouts are all from a kit I put together from products that I already had in my stash. Sometimes it's good to feel like I'm using up the old. I don't love how the second layout turned out. It's kind of busy for me but sometimes it just about getting it done. They wont all be masterpieces. Hope you enjoy and thanks for taking the time to watch.
 

Priceless Video

I'm back with another video. This time I created my own kit to work from. I also made two other layouts and a card. I was feeling a lot more productive doing the kits with items I purchased. Which makes sense I guess. I only ended up with items I was inspired to buy to begin with. Stands to reason I would be more inspired to create something with them.

Gentleman layout

So my guy is out of town for the weekend. I have been scrapping in all my free time. I was even able to get another video up. Wow how impressive is that two videos within a week of each other. Hope you like it. I will share at least one more layout with you as well, but later this week. Hope your all having a great weekend. I'm off to bowling soon. Wish the guy was going to be there.

Big Time Love

Here is my most recent video. This is from the March Scrapbook Circle kit club. I'm not loving this layout. I have such a hard time scrabooking with just the stuff from the kit. Especially when I don't really love the items in it to begin with. lol I'm struggling with using the kits to create layouts but I am deteremed to use them since I bought them. I have a new idea about doing my own kits though. So hopefully it will get a little easier. Let me know what you think.

Art Journal Page

I started on this art journal page earlier this week. I was absolutely feeling Blah. Wasn't the best week of my life for sure. Not the worst either however. Anyway feeling a bit better now and that is always a better place to be. Let's see where the upcoming week takes me. Working on another layout video. Hope to post that soon. Us Layout

So it took me a little longer than I planned but I did it. I finally got another video up. This is a layout I did from a Kit. At the beginning of the year I signed up for Scrapbook Circle kit club. This was the Fed. Kit. Anyway, it is my first layout of my "favorite" boyfriend. I added a lot more to the layout that wasn't on the video. Didn't always remember to turn the camera on. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

Get Well Soon Card

Ok I have a card to show. I would have a layout and video to put up except that I ate some Hot Tamale candy and it tore my mouth up so bad that it hurts to talk. So I will try to finish up my video this week and maybe actually post twice this month. There was a time when I posted weekly. Here's hoping that I am getting back to that mode soon. I feel my need for creating and playing coming back more and more everyday. It's odd how life events can suck the creativity right out of you. So this is a card that I made for my "boyfriend's"(why does that word sound teenagerish to me) mother. I used the scraps that were on my desk from after creating the layout. Loved this burlap flower. Wish I could find some burlap that wasn't as thick as at Michaels. I think I would use that more often. Anyway, I hope you all had a fantastic Easter. I will be back soon with a video.

Be-Lated Valentine's Mini Album

So I'm a little late on getting this up but I have been some what scrappy lately. I made this mini album for my guy for Valentine's Day. This is a canvas and chipboard album I found at Michael's. I tried to make it look like a manly version of Valentines. This is my first time working with canvas in an album. It was fun, but I was a little unsure of how to glue things to it. Glue gun worked great. The hardest part was taking the photos. I love how it turned out and so did James. So glad I found him.OK having Blogger problems. Hope this thing posts.

Happy New Year

 First I hope you all had a great Christmas and that the New Year is full of great things. I Know its a bit late for Christmas projects, but I just got these done once Christmas was over. So I decided to post it anyway. My fabulous new fella enjoys doing wood working projects so we joined forces and came up with these Joy letters. He cute the letters out and I painted them. I love the way they turned out. I working really hard to get my scrapbooking mojo back. I do have one layout to share. I just can't seem to find any inspiration for the photos that I currently have. I did however order some new stuff and joined a kit club so hopefully the new goodies will make me want to play and get inspired.

So my brother and his family made this great video for the Christmas program at Church. Thought I would share it. It made me laugh pretty good.

Art Journal Page

I finally felt like being crafty. I created this art journal page the other day in some of my free time. I'm moving into a place of feeling content in my life and that always makes creating come so much easier. I am really hoping my funk is gone for a long while. It helps of course that I met someone who treats me well and makes me happy. That's the basis of this page. "Unbelievable love" I had a hard time believing or excepting that someone would feel that way and not be diceptive or out to see what they could gain. Thank God I didn't push him to far away or run the other direction myself. Things are looking up.

Not Feeling It

So I have not forgotten about my blog. I just haven't been able to get myself into a crafting mode. Scrapbooking and what not is so much easier for me when I'm content in life. I'm struggling with contentment at the moment. Not feeling it at all to tell the truth. I am so ready to be at a different place where my divorce is settled and life feels normal. In the mean time I feel like I'm on auto pilot just moving from day to day. I am ready for a distraction. I keep trying to find things to do to distract me from the reality of life at the moment. It works for the most part but then there are those nights like tonight where I'm home all day and pulling out photos thinking I will scrapbook. Then it hits me. I feel a surge of emotions revolving around those memories and I don't want to remember to be honest. I don't want to think of happier times cause then the reality of my situation makes me sad.

Light at the end of the tunnel

I finished this art journal page up Sunday night. This is a pretty obvious title. Didn't feel I needed to do much journaling about it. I am simple looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel. Life can seem at times like one long tunnel, but It's so much more rewarding to look forward to something ahead than to dwell on hurts of the past. I'm looking forward to the future and all the new things in front of me.

Melted Crayon Art

Had a great weekend with my son. Went to the beach, a bike ride and we made crayon art on canvas. I'm hoping you will be able to guess which one is mine and which one is his. I haven't been working on the art journaling to much. Just haven't felt up to it. I did start one page the other night and will share it once I get it finished. I have a few more canvases though so I just might play with that some more. Who knows what will come out next.
